| Altera's configuration devices provide
the easiest configuration solution to SRAM-based Mercury,
Excalibur, APEX 20K, ACEX 1K, FLEX 10K, FLEX 6000,
and FLEX 8000 devices. The configuration devices range
in size from the 64-Kbit EPC1064 to the 16M-bit EPC16
device, the industry's largest serial configuration
device.Table 1 shows the many features that make it
easy to design with Altera programmable logic devices
(PLDs). |

| The Quartus II and MAX+PLUS II software
provides software design support, and the Altera master
programming unit (MPU) and third-party programming
hardware provides programming support. Table 2 lists
the available configuration devices. |
